On September 15, 2024, Basara Educational and Welfare Society proudly launched its new initiative, "Improving Menstrual Hygiene Among 10–18-Year-Old Girls." The inaugural training session took place at Gharaunda Vikasaarth Rainbow Home in Anisabad, Patna, with the goal of empowering young girls through improved menstrual hygiene practices. A total of 30 girls participated in the first session, gaining valuable knowledge and resources. This initiative marks the beginning of a series of training programs that will continue across Bihar in the coming months, promoting better menstrual hygiene management (MHM) for girls aged 10 to 18. On this special occasion, Mrs Asha Kumari Madhubala, Executive Member of Basara Educational and Welfare Society, shared an inspiring message: Empowering young girls with the knowledge and tools for proper menstrual hygiene is not just about health—it's about dignity, confidence, and breaking taboos. Through this initiative, we aim to create a future where every girl feels informed and supported. Together, we are nurturing a generation that is healthy, strong, and unafraid to embrace their natural cycles. This is just the beginning of a transformative journey for the girls of Bihar.
